Thomas Principale

His Eagle Project was a food drive. Thomas did a food drive that was desperately needed as per Brooklyn Council. He, with the help of the entire troop, collected approximately 40 large size packing boxes filled with all kinds of non-perishable foods and then donated them to the local food pantry. The food pantry is a non profit organization that takes care of anybody who is in need of food in the Bensonhurst area.



Danny Viterbo

His Eagle Project was a clothing drive. Over 1000 hours were spent in the planning and carrying out of the project. He collected over 30 boxes of clothes from his community and donated them to St. Mary’s Mother of Jesus Roman Catholic church. Danny is now a Pre-Med student at Brooklyn College.


Peter Benanti

His Eagle Project was a canned food drive. He collected food from his Junior High School, his local library, and the community. He donated the canned goods to St. Mary’s Mother of Jesus Roman Catholic church. Peter is now in the process of becoming a licensed electrician.


Stephen Harbeck Jr.

His Eagle Project was a Blood Drive. The project was held at St. Mary’s Mother of Jesus Roman Catholic church and New York Methodist Hospital donated services. Nearly 50 pints of blood were collected. Stephen is now an EMT.

His Eagle Project was a Clothing drive for Project Hospitality. He collected 86 (new) hats, (new) 86 pairs of gloves, (new) 86 pairs of socks, (new) 18 pairs of thermal underwear, 40 other new items, 79 assorted used items as a grand total of 481 items. Stephen is now in his last year at Rutgers University and in the process of becoming and FBI agent.


Thomas Sarno

His Eagle Project was to adopt an old aged home. He adopted the Augustana’s Home for the Aged. He led the troop in visiting the home and performing activities with the residents such as playing card games, board games and conversing. Thomas is now working for a major computer company as a technician.


Daniel M. Pollock

Received on 11/13/92
His Eagle Project was to perform a toy drive and musical presentation for the children's ward at three hospitals in Brooklyn. He went to Coney Island Hospital, Bellevue Hospital and Lutheran Medical Center. He led the Troop in handing out toys in the children ward of each of these hospitals while performing a well rehearsed musical presentation of Christmas and Hanukah songs.

His Eagle Project was a canned food drive and a sandwich drive. He collected 425 cans of food and donated them to the Salvation Army of Bay Ridge. He conducted another drive, collected 150 cans and donated them to St. Mary’s Mother of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. He then made 250 bologna Sandwiches and handed them out to the homeless of the community.

Alan is now an Asst. Attorney General for the State of New York. He is also a 1st Lieutenant U.S. Army Reserves and a Judge Advocate General (JAG).

His Eagle Project was to provide emergency First Aid training for the Hudson Valley American youth soccer Organization. He trained the coaches of the Hudson River Valley.

William (Billy) Hauer

Received in 1978
His Eagle Project was a conservation project. The idea was to build a dam in the creek bed so that the creek would back up and create a small pond for the trout. This project took place at Mt. Tremper.
Billy is now a Director of Marketing for a pharmaceutical company.
